Hand of Grace Healthcare is committed to the health, safety and wellbeing of employees. In accordance with information and data provided by British Columbia’s Provincial Health Office (PHO), being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 is the most effective way to safeguard employee health and reduce the risk of transmission.

Effective date and timing

The policy will be effective starting on November 1, 2021 and will be reviewed and updated as needed based on guidance and directives from the PHO.

The policy will be in effect until general public health concerns regarding COVID are reduced to a level, prescribed by government, to enable workplaces to operate without COVID-related restrictions.

Purpose
The purpose of this policy is to:

Promote the health and safety of employees and others in the workplace through COVID vaccinations
Define the conditions and expectations for HOG employees, contractors and others in the workplace to disclose their vaccination status and to be vaccinated.
